Its been an extraordinary two weeks of touring with the Show of Hands machine in full swing. Audiences are up and the atmosphere at some of these shows has been brilliant. We’re especially delighted with the near sell out at Buxton Opera house and a much bigger crowd at the Sage in Gateshead than last time. Thankyou everyone and thanks to our wonderful crew for making it all happen.
One sad note was the death of Jack Bruce, a major influence and great muso.
We will be having a major negotiation on thursday this week, the outcome of which will, I Hope, make it possible for us to publish a schedule for Folkboat 2015. The boat we are after is very well known in her own right and, if we pull this off, will be familiar to many.
Fingers Crossed!!!
Drove from Gateshead to Okehampton to do a guitar workshop at The Baring Gould festival in Okehampton. Run by the Wren Trust, they have had their most successful event to date and it was nice to see such a good crowd at the session.
