On June 21st, I depart these shores as a member of crew on the good ship Pegasus bound for the Baltic and this years Tall Ships race. I will be away for the best part of eleven weeks on a journey of a lifetime experience and taking my first major break from music in 25 years. The Pegasus is a modern boat built on entirely traditional lines resembling a classic Bristol Pilot cutter. She is small and fast a great sail. Her skipper is Diggory, son of the late Tony Rose. Space is at a premium on board so I have just taken delivery of a cheap (and hopefully) waterproof chinese fiddle to meet other ships musos and swap tunes and songs. I will also be recording an overdub at sea for the new Show of hands album.
Keep checking for updates from the race!
